The feature film "Embargo" by the Portuguese filmmaker António Ferreira,
inspired by a story by José Saramago, is nominated for the great prizes
of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema. The film includes the selection of
fiction feature films candidates for the Grand Prix Brazilian Cinema.
"It is certainly a source of pride and consequence of the investment we
made in promoting film in Brazil, which passed the selection in the two
major festivals (Festival do Rio and Mostra de São Paulo), and
culminated with the premiere in theaters Brazil last December" he added.
According to António Ferreira, this recognition "gives way" to their own
productions "in this huge and highly competitive market", which is Brazil.

Pictures - starts in April another production in Brazil, "the next film
of one of Brazil's most respected filmmakers," Sergio Bianchi, entitled
"Charisma Idiot / Carisma Imbecil" to be shot in São Paulo.

The PNG Pictures has just shoot the next film by Antonio Ferreira. An order of Guimarães Capital of Culture 2012, "POSFÁCIO AT THE CLOTHING FACTORY" is a burlesque satire starring the actor Pedro Diogo, as well as the actresses Custódia Gallego and Cleia Almeida among others. The film will debut in 2012 in Guimarães in the Capital of Culture.

EMBARGO will be showing on official selection at the Festival de Cine Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Margarita - Venezuela, it's one of eight films in competition, in the section first works, began last October 7.
The director and the producer of the film are present at the festival.

Zed Filmes - Curtas e Longas has changed its name to Persona Non Grata Pictures - PNG Pictures.
The alteration of the name went along with the facilities changeover that is now at Casconha, Cernache.
Internationalization it is the main goal of Persona Non Grata.

EMBARGO it's the new feature film directed by António Ferreira, an adaptation from the nobel prize winner - José Saramago. This co-production between Portugal, Spain and Brazil, produced by Persona Non Grata Pictures, will have it's first public screening at the Fantasporto 2010 International Film Festival in Portugal, on the 3rd of March 2010.
On the film's main role we find the actor Filipe Costa, with a memorable perfomance, along with other actors such as Cláudia Carvalho, José Raposo, Pedro Diogo, Fernando Taborda.
